The Veterans Who Taught Me How to Prepare
On this Memorial Day, I wanted to take a step back and talk about the veterans, family members, and mentors who quietly shaped the way I think about preparedness, responsibility, self-reliance, firearms, and protecting the people you love. From my grandfather, a WWII pilot who came home and built a life rooted in quiet resilience to my dad teaching me to shoot with an old tube-fed .22 as a kid… the foundation for this channel started long before YouTube ever existed. This video is simply about gratitude.
To the veterans, active duty service members, medics, communicators, outdoorsmen, mentors, friends, and family members who keep teaching and sharing what they know: thank you. Today is about honoring the fallen. The men and women who never came home. The freedoms we enjoy, including the freedom to prepare and protect our families, came at a cost.
